The technical analysis of the AUDUSD price chart on 4-hour timeframe shows AUDUSD,H4 is retreating to test the 200-period moving average MA(200) after hitting two-month high ten days ago. We believe the bearish movement will continue after the price breaches below the lower bound of the Donchian channel at 0.6551. A level below this can be used as an entry point for placing a pending order to sell. The stop loss can be placed above 0.6589. After placing the order, the stop loss is to be moved to the next fractal high indicator, following Parabolic signals. Thus, we are changing the expected profit/loss ratio to the breakeven point. If the price meets the stop loss level without reaching the order, we recommend cancelling the order: the market has undergone internal changes which were not taken into account.

Australia’s business sentiment declined marginally in February: the National Australia Bank (NAB) reported the NAB Business Confidence Index of business sentiment declined to 0 in February from 1 in January. Readings above 0 indicate improving conditions, below indicate worsening conditions. The survey showed indicators were below the long-run average, with the retail sector being a major drag amid high borrowing costs and elevated inflation. At the same time Australia Private House Permits approvals dropped for third straight month in January. Deteriorating Australian business sentiment is bearish for Australian dollar and AUDUSD currency pair.
